Unibet don’t have the hype of some of their bigger rivals, but what they lack in that regard, they make up for it in giving punters a simple and impressive betting experience.

They have steadily grown in stature over the last few years and offer a wide range of markets across both racing and sport, whether it be in Australia or overseas.

Why Are Unibet Popular?

They consistently offer $1.90 lines on most sporting events, which is a massive tick given some betting agencies offer as low as $1.80 lines, which is really poor. $1.90 is just about top of the market year in year out outside NRL/AFL seasons, and line betting is a popular market for punters.

They have 24/7 betting across both racing and sport, whether it be in this part of the world or overseas. There can be some obscure events on at obscure times of the day but there is no such thing as obscure with Unibet, having odds and live betting 24 hours a day, seven days a week.

Their streaming/score updates for all racing and spots is very good. They have live streaming on a number of sporting events, as good as some of the boys in the business, which speaks volumes of the quality of this operation given they aren’t at the level of the likes of Sportsbet and Ladbrokes.

Why We Like Unibet

The website and app are both very easy to use. The layout and colours for both make things easy to find and there is no real issue in terms of lagging time and the speed of how they load. Some websites and apps can be quite painful and log out without warning, but both for Unibet seemingly run smoothly.

Their recent partnership with iSport Genius ensures they just about lead the way when it comes sports betting and info on said events. With that partnership, they have a stack of info, whether it be on H2H markets, match facts, predictors and betting tools to help find a winner. It is elite.

A big tick for them is that they provide dead heat payouts and protest payouts. They’ll pay out on both horses that dead heat for first, and will pay out on the horse first past the post if it loses on protest, as well as paying out on the runner that wins via a protest. Both of those are very enticing.

Why We Don’t Like Unibet

The promotions side of things could be much better. Compared to other betting agencies, they offer very little in terms of promotions and trying to entice new punters, a big part of it is promotions. I think if that side of things can be improved, their customer numbers would sky rocket.

The Unibet is good, but it could be much better in comparison to their rivals. The majority of things are easy to find, but there are a couple of things that can be quite tricky to locate and time consuming, which isn’t ideal when you are betting and on the go, trying to do things asap.

They have all forms of customer service, but it is only open between 9am-2am. The vast majority of bookmakers have 24/7 customer service so the limited time they are open for their customer service is a negative and something that I would think needs to change in the not too distant future.

A recent Bookmaker Markets Survey showed that Unibet are the market leader in terms of quantity of markets per fixture. Basically, that means they have a wide range of markets on both racing and sporting events, giving punters plenty of variety and plenty of options.

5. Good Odds

Their odds stack up really well compared to their rivals. Some wagering operators just copy/paste odds from the likes of TAB and Sportsbet but Unibet have their own odds and the prices are very competitive, with some events being top of the market, hence why they’re getting more popular.

6. Unibest

Unibet in certain races have a firm opinion on runners and are willing to take them on, and with that, they will offer top of the market odds. Some betting agencies just cuddle their odds and don’t want to cast a line out to punters to entice them with value. Unibet are the complete opposite.
